OpenSpots are shared live by SpotZers and things move fast, so a spot can be gone before you arrive.
Built by Oakland, for Oakland
Oakland, let's make parking easier together.
Every spot shared can help someone else spend less time searching. Students, healthcare workers, residents and visitors: we're building this together, and everyone has a part to play.
Pitt and CMU students
Make it to class on time, not three laps around the block.
UPMC staff and night shifts
Start your shift on time, not on lap four.
Oakland residents
Spend less time hunting for parking near home.
Visitors and events
Hospital visits, museum days, concerts and Pitt games at the Pete.

Why you'll love it
Get your time back.
See spots before they open.
Watch spots turn orange as SpotZers head back to their cars, then get an alert when one turns green.
Share automatically or with one tap.
Turn on auto-share to let SpotzUp share your spot when you drive away. Prefer to do it yourself? Tap Share.
Help others park. Get rewarded.
Earn points when a SpotZer parks in a spot you shared, when you confirm how your trip went, and when you hit weekly goals. Climb the ranks, and stay tuned: we're building rewards you can trade your points for.
Straight up
- No cash between drivers
- No selling or renting spots
- No open chat, just preset thank-yous and replies

What we don't do
- We don't guarantee a spot will be there
- We can't promise every report is right
- We don't sell or rent public parking
- We don't promise parking on game day, or any day
- We don't check signs, meters, permits or street-cleaning rules
- We never ask anyone to wait for, follow or block another driver
